Stuntman's Parachute-free Skydive [VIDEO]

A stuntman, Gary Connery, has become the first man to leap 2,400 feet and safely land without using a parachute. The 42-year-old daredevil plunged from a helicopter wearing only a wing suit, in a death-defying feat before landing in an area containing 18,600 cardboard boxes.

Epic Parenting Fail at a Laundromat

Parent puts child in a washer to scare him off but accidentally starts the machine. The dad found out that the washing machines automatically lock and begin their cycle once the door is shut. The paramedics looked at the kid and he escaped with only few bruisesand he was laughing when he came out of the laundry. A sign in the left hand corner of the frame reads ‘Junior wash $2.95’. But it was not supposed to be taken quite so literally.

Russian Teens Film Their Insane Bridge Climb Above Russky Island Bridge

19-year-old photographer Vitaly Raskalov and two friends climbed the Zolotoy Rog Bridge in Vladivostok, Russia. The next day, they climbed the even higher Russky Island Bridge. Not surprisingly, these kids were arrested and fined after posting the evidence of their escapade atop the Russky Island Bridge. The fine was the equivalent of ten U.S. dollars, but perhaps the fine dished out by Mom and Dad was more appropriate.

Flying Like a Bird

In this incredible YouTube video, Jarno Smeets takes a running start and then lifts off the ground by flapping his massive brightly colored wings and manages to stay airborne for about 30 seconds.

In this most recent attempt, he was able to fly up to 100 meters, IT World reports.

A mechanical engineer, Smeets' success is the fruit of eight months of research and design for his Human Birdwings Project.

Fort Steuben Bridge Demolition

The 84-year-old Fort Steuben Bridge connecting Ohio and West Virginia was demolished on Tuesday with the aid of more than 150 pounds of explosives. 1,255-foot bridge was closed to traffic in 2009 after the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) declared it "functionally obsolete," according to Ohio Valley's WTOV9.

Sailing Like a Boss

Alex Thomson Racing, also known as the Hugo Boss Sailing Team, attempts what it is called ‘The Keel Walk‘, a stunt that has become infamous throughout the world thanks to the iconic image of Alex ‘riding’ the keel of his 60ft yacht ‘Hugo Boss‘.

As his 8-tonne carbon fibre yacht, Hugo Boss, sails on edge, Alex pulls up in a 255-horsepower ski jet and leaps onto the keel of the boat. Be sure to check out the embedded video below for proof of this epic feat.

Tornadoes on the Sun

Last week, NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite captured this stunning video of magnetically captured plasma moving like a tornado across the sun's surface.

The sun tornado video shows swirling fountains of plasma creeping across the surface of the sun during a 30-hour period between Feb. 7 and 8. But unlike tornadoes on Earth, which are wind-driven phenomena, the sun's plasma tornadoes are shaped by the powerful magnetic field of our star. A solar physicist at NASA said the tornado might be as large as the Earth itself and have gusts up to 300,000 miles per hour.

Chinese Boy With Cat Like Eyes Can See In The Dark

Meet Nong Youhui who has cat-like blue eyes and can see clearly in the dark. We first heard about him in 2009 but now a video report by China’s CCTV has emerged online exploring the boy’s phenomenal ability. Youhui lives in Dahua, southern China and according to the story, medical tests conducted in complete darkness show he can read perfectly without any light and sees clearly during the day. Hard to verify – it is China after all – but we are intrigued.
