Ghent Light Festival held in Belgium, for four days (from January 26 to January 29, 2012), displayed quite a few interesting projects. But, the focal point of the event was probably the
Luminarie De Cagna — an enormous, 84-foot-high, 55,000 LED cathedral of light. Other highlights included Kinect-inspired human mosaic tiles, a phone booth aquarium, and 3D projections on the Post Plaza building at Korenmarkt.
